Terms & Conditions — Engineering Consultation
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to services provided by Simone Campo (“the Consultant”).
Simone Campo operates as a sole trader in the United Kingdom.
By booking, purchasing or participating in any consultation, programme or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms should be read alongside the Privacy Notice and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
2. Services
The consultancy provides professional engineering mentoring, technical guidance and career development support. Services may include software engineering career direction and role selection; QA, test automation and engineering career paths; graduate applications and job-search strategy; CV and LinkedIn positioning; interview preparation and mock interviews; portfolio, GitHub and project strategy; and early-career development and navigating engineering teams.
The exact scope of support depends on the service purchased and the objectives agreed between the Consultant and the Client.
The Consultant may decline an engagement where the requested support falls outside the Consultant’s expertise or the scope of the service.
The Client remains responsible for obtaining independent professional advice where required.
3. Products and prices

The Focus and Development programmes include a free 30-minute planning session and the stated number of 50-minute sessions. Programme pricing and availability may be changed for future purchases, but changes do not affect an order already accepted.
4. Independent Consultancy
The consultancy operates as an independent professional business.
The consultancy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any university, educational institution, employer, recruitment agency, professional body or third-party organisation unless expressly stated.
Any references to previous academic, professional or industry experience are provided for information purposes only and do not imply endorsement by a current or former employer or institution.
5. Employer and Institution Independence
The consultancy is operated by Simone Campo in a personal capacity.
Services are provided independently and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or provided on behalf of any current or former employer, university, educational institution, client, professional body or organisation unless expressly stated.
Any professional experience, academic experience or industry experience discussed during consultation is shared solely for educational and information purposes and does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation with any organisation.
6. Professional Services Only
Services are provided as consultancy, mentoring and professional development support.
The Consultant will not disclose, discuss or provide any confidential, proprietary, employer-owned, client-owned or otherwise protected information obtained through current or previous employment, consulting engagements or professional relationships.
Advice and recommendations provided through the consultancy are based on professional experience, general industry knowledge, publicly available information and accepted engineering practices.
The services do not constitute:
- Legal advice
- Financial advice
- Investment advice
- Tax advice
- Immigration advice
- Medical advice
- Psychological advice
- Any other regulated professional advice
Clients remain responsible for obtaining independent professional advice where required.
7. Academic Integrity
The consultancy is committed to professional and academic integrity.
The consultancy does not provide assistance intended to complete, improve, edit, produce or contribute directly to assessed academic work.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Coursework completion
- Assignment writing
- Dissertation writing
- Examination assistance
- Production of academic submissions
- Completion of assessed projects
- Any activity that may breach academic integrity requirements
Support relating to assessed academic work may be declined immediately.
The Consultant reserves the right to refuse or terminate any engagement that may conflict with academic integrity principles.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information
- Attending scheduled sessions
- Acting on recommendations at their own discretion
- Making their own career and professional decisions
- Maintaining responsibility for project implementation and outcomes.
The Consultant provides guidance, feedback and recommendations only.
9. No Guarantee of Outcomes
While every effort is made to provide high-quality guidance and recommendations, no guarantee is made regarding any particular outcome.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Employment offers
- Interview invitations
- Interview success
- Promotions
- Salary increases
- Career progression
- Project success
- Technical outcomes.
Professional outcomes depend on numerous factors outside the Consultant’s control.
10. Bookings and Payments
Bookings are confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
Payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment providers.
Prices are displayed on the website and are subject to change at any time. Any changes will not affect
bookings already confirmed.
The Consultant reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings where necessary.
11. Client Booking Declaration
By booking a consultation, programme or service, the Client confirms that:
- They are seeking professional consultancy and mentoring services within the scope described in these Terms.
- They are not requesting support for coursework, assignments, dissertations, examinations or assessed academic work.
- They understand that no employment, interview, promotion or career outcome is guaranteed.
- They understand that all advice and recommendations remain subject to their own independent judgement and decision-making.
- They are not currently being taught, supervised, assessed or examined by the Consultant through another academic or professional role.
12. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule appointments by providing at least 48 hours’ notice.
Where less than 48 hours’ notice is provided, rescheduling may be offered at the Consultant’s discretion.
Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice may result in the session being treated as delivered.

13. Confidentiality
Information shared during consultations will be treated as confidential and will not be knowingly disclosed to third parties except:
- Where required by law
- Where there is a safeguarding concern
- Where necessary to prevent fraud or criminal activity
- Where the Client has provided consent.
No guarantee can be made regarding the security of third-party communications platforms used by the Client.
14. Intellectual property
Clients retain ownership of their own projects, portfolios, GitHub repositories, documentation and materials.
Any frameworks, templates, resources, methodologies, written materials or intellectual property created by the Consultant remain the property of the Consultant unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Clients may use materials supplied during consultations for personal development purposes only.
15. Conflicts of Interest
The Consultant reserves the right to decline, suspend or terminate an engagement where an actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest exists.
The consultancy is not available to individuals who are currently being taught, supervised, assessed or examined by the Consultant through another academic or professional role.
The Consultant may decline any other engagement where providing services could reasonably create concerns regarding impartiality, professional obligations or academic integrity.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Consultant shall not be liable for:
- Loss of employment opportunities
- Loss of income, loss of business opportunities
- Loss of anticipated earnings
- Indirect losses
- Consequential losses
- Decisions taken by the Client based on guidance received.
The Consultant’s total liability in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for that service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
17. Termination
The Consultant reserves the right to terminate services immediately if:
- These terms are breached
- Abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour occurs.
- False information is provided
- Academic misconduct support is requested.
- A conflict of interest arises
- Continuing the engagement would create legal, ethical or professional concerns.
Any refund following termination will be handled in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Client’s statutory rights.
18. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from the use of the services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
